Flying High!

We went to our sweet friend Ashley's 7th birthday party and the boys got quite a treat!! They got to take a helicopter ride! Since only three people could go up with the pilot, Cody opted to take the boys. As much as I would have loved to go, we thought it was best for me (and Carter) to stay on the ground. Anyway, the boys loved it! They said is was a little scary but AWESOME!!! Here are a few pictures from this neat adventure and a group shot of the kiddos at the party.

Happy Mother's Day!

I know a special lady I would love for you to meet,
She is bubbly, kind and funny and also super sweet,
Whenever I need her she is sure to be there,
Always honest and loving and showing that she cares,
She is Mama to me and Mammy to my boys,
Her arms are always open in the hardships and the joys,
We have an amazing friendship and bond that we share,
Together we are a unique and close mother-daughter pair,
You have to meet this lady she is better than the rest,
Trust me when I tell you, my mom she is the BEST!!
Happy Mother's Day Mama!!!
(The picture I chose is not very recent but is one of my favorites of my mom and I. )

I am so lucky to have been blessed with two wonderful examples of what a mother should be. My mother-in-law is a woman with a huge and generous heart. She is always doing for others. She has been a close friend to me and is also a great source for advice and experience. She is a wonderful Omi to my boys as well and we all love her so much!

(This is another older picture that I like. It is of my mother-in-law and two of my sister-in-laws. )

Being a Mama is a job I love soooo much! I am so lucky to have the two amazing little guys I am getting to raise. I can't believe I will be the mother of three boys in about 7 weeks. I can't wait! Life is good!!!!

Little Chefs

This afternoon after swimming at the neighborhood pool, the boys and I made some yummy brownies. They love the movie Ratatouille, so the idea of being chefs is a fun one. Cody had gone to a food seminar one day last week and brought them these hats and aprons. They had to wear them--so cute! They were big helpers and pretty much did the brownies on their own.(I measured of course.) It was fun and we all enjoyed eating their creation!!

Show Us Where You Live- Kitchen Edition

A request was placed on Kelly's Korner-- a wonderful blog I love to read. She is doing "Show Us Where You Live --Kitchen Edition." So I thought I would share my kitchen with you. I really do enjoy my kitchen. I have been trying to cook more so I spend quite a bit of time in it. I love the rock work and the open feel it has. I have lots I want to do above the cabinets but I am picky so I haven't found the right things to go up there. Still, this is a space in my house that I love! Take a look:

I love the saying "Live, Laugh, Love"

This fun plate has a spot at the top to change out different pieces(the flowers are this month's piece).

I love my pantry door but you don't want to see inside. =)

31 Week Baby Update

Today was my 31 week checkup for Baby Carter. I got to have a sonogram to see about how big he is. The guess is about 4.4 lbs. Definitely above average but not scary big. He is a precious sight to see. He was sucking his thumb again and all stretched out. He is kind of laying in an L shape in my belly. (No wonder when he kicks I feel it on both sides.) Definitely head down, way down. Anyway, all looks great and we are getting more and more excited around here. The boys are so funny. They talk to him everyday and kiss my belly each morning and night. So cute!
Here are a few pictures of Carter's profile. One is of him putting his thumb in his mouth. =)

A Great Getaway

We left on Thursday night and headed to the coast for three days of sun and fun. My parents and my brother, Laura and their boys went too. We had a great time! My boys adore the beach and saltwater. No matter how windy it was, there was no stopping them. (We spent very little time at the pool because the water was too chilly.) The loved playing in the sand and splashing in the waves. We got a body board and Colton wore himself out on that thing. He was getting pretty good at it too. Saturday morning the big guys took the boys fishing in my Dad's boat and they all loved that. They caught enough fish to get them really excited, even if they weren't keepers. We hated to head back Sunday but such is life. Here are some fun pictures from our mini vacation.

What a good Daddy!!!!

Spots!

Cooper has a yucky rash. A large part of his body is covered in tiny red bumps. The Doctor suspects that it is strep but we are waiting on the throat culture to tell us for sure tomorrow.(The one done in office yesterday was negative but can be wrong.) So here is a tid bit of how Cooper felt about these spots yesterday:
Opi asks, "Did you go to school today?"
Cooper says," NO, because of these damn spots!!"
Oh boy, do we have our work cut out for us!
Hard to tell by this picture but his belly is covered in the rash. You can tell how he feels about it by the look on his face though. Poor baby...oh I mean big boy!
