Happy Camper

Colton went to Day Camp last week at TBarM and loved every minute of it! Each day was filled with great activities...swimming(complete with slides, diving boards and a blob), putt-putt golf, sports, bible lessons, outdoor play, worship time and the list goes on. He had two awesome counselors, Chris and Alex. Colton loved having the two of them guide him through the fun each day! He also got to have one of his preschool buddies, Louie, in his group. On the last day, parents were invited to see a little bit of what the kids did all week. Cody and I got to meet the counselors and check out the camp. The counselors gave each camper a certificate and gave each kid a characteristic that they saw in them as outstanding. Colton was given Enthusiasm. They said he was always ready with a smile and eager to do the activities. He learned a lot and had a blast. We will definitely make sure that we get signed up for next summer! Here are a few pictures of our camper getting his certificate, with his buddy and with his great counselors.

Oh those cheeks!!

My Carter is 5 weeks old today and he is getting so big. I love this picture of him sleeping. He definitely has my cheeks but they are sooooo much cuter on him! I just can't resist kissing them!!

Number 10

Today is our 10 year anniversary! I can hardly believe that much time has gone by. Our life together is and has been wonderful. I have known my hubby since I was 8 years old. He asked me to "circle yes or no" in fourth grade and we were a couple off and on through middle school. After that, we remained great friends. Then in '95, as Seniors in high school , we became a couple again. We have been inseparable ever since. I am so glad that God made sure that we would meet and fall in love. Cody is an amazing husband, best friend and Daddy. I know that he was meant for me! About a month ago my hubby sent me the sweetest email. In it he had the lyrics to the song "I run to you" by Lady Antebellum and he wrote that he was so glad that he would always have me to run to. If you have ever really listened to that song you know that it is a great way to have your spouse feel about you. I will definitely always run to Cody Mueller. I am so grateful that we will be together in 50 years(or more) rocking on our front porch. We are so blessed in our life together!

4 weeks already

Our Carter is 4 weeks old today! Gosh it really does feel like yesterday I was in the hospital anxiously waiting to have him. Anyway, he is doing so great! He sleeps really well for as young as he is--usually a five hour stretch at night. He is getting chubby, which I love. The other day when I was giving him a bath, Colton came in and said "Baby Carter is getting fat!" He is way out of newborn diapers and now wears size 1-2. He is also filling out every inch of his 0-3 month clothes. His sweet smile will melt your heart and he is showing it to us more and more. He really is just a wonderful baby!! Even though it feels like yesterday that he was born-- I can not imagine our family without him! God is so good!

Carter is 3 weeks old!

I cannot believe that my baby is already three weeks old. He is doing so good. We had a check up on Tuesday and he weighed in at 10 lbs and 6 oz and was 21.5 inches. Growing like crazy!! It is so good to know that my milk is giving him what he needs. He sleeps well and is already giving us the occasional smile. The big boys still flock to him when he is awake so they can talk to him. They love their baby brother! We actually made it to church on Sunday. It felt good to be back there and show off our little man a little bit.(Even if he was in his carrier most of the time.) Here are a few snapshots from the last week.

A great check up

Wednesday was Carter's check up with our pediatrician. I was so anxious to see what he weighed since with nursing I have no idea how much he is getting. Plus, I have to wake him up to eat and sometimes he goes longer than he should between feedings. Well, he is already up to 8 lbs 12 oz. (He came home 8 lb 4 oz) Since the goal is to be back to birth weight at two weeks and he is only six days old and past his birth weight, we are doing great!! He had also already grown a quarter of an inch. Yay!!!
