Carter's birthday

We had Carter's party on Sunday(the day before his actual day) so his actual birthday was a little low key. He woke up just in time to have a pancake breakfast with his big brothers before they headed off to day camp. So glad he didn't sleep in so they could sing to him.

Once, I dropped the big boys off, my birthday boy and I headed to meet up with some of his cousins(Grady, Griffin, Luke, Livvy and Kendall) to play at The Jumpy Place. He did lots of jumping, sliding, ate pizza and had lost of fun.

Enjoying some Skittles

His favorite is orange

That evening, we had "basketti" (spaghetti) for dinner at the choice of the birthday boy(I was terrible and didn't take anymore pictures). Then since we had a yummy cake at the party the day before, we had ice cream cones for dessert. It was a great day and there is nothing better than celebrating one my boys! Can't believe my baby is so BIG!!

My Baby is 3

Today my baby boy turns 3! Gosh- time has flown by!

Here are a few things I want to remember about my baby at age 3...
*He has the sweetest spirit and a smile that melts my heart!

*He gives the best hugs and kisses.

*He has beautiful strawberry blond hair.
*He loves to sing and dance. Right now our favorite song is Springsteen by Eric Church. Listening to him sing the "whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa" is just perfect!

*He talks like crazy. My favorite things he says these days are..."Mama-I love you so so so much!!" "You so cute!!" "You ok?"
*His temper is starting to show a little. Maybe the red head in him?

*He looooves his big brothers. Colton is like a second Dad, always helping him and consoling him when he is sad. Cooper is his playmate. Carter always drags him to play a new game.
*He loves to swim and be outside. He also loves putting on his brothers old costumes...Buzz, Hulk, Batman. Too cute!!

*He is counting to about 18.
*He will attempt to name letters on things and loves to "read" books.

*He is a pro at the Ipad and Iphones. He loves the Jetpack and Zombie games his brothers play.
*His favorite movies right now are..."Animals United, Iron Giant(an old one) and Madagascar movies and the Toy Story movies.

*He is not fond of bugs-at all!! I even get alerted to a far off ant. =)

*He has a serious face that is precious! He can keep it forever, no matter what we do to make him laugh.

*He seriously is PURE JOY!! I love every minute with him!!

Thank you God for my Carter Wesley!! I love him with my whole heart to Pluto and back!!

His stats:
Height: 41 inches (98%)
Weight: 37.2 lbs (93%)
BIG boy!!!

**Thank you Misti Ann for another amazing photo shoot! You are awesome!! Love you friend!!

Cooper's swim lessons

Cooper just finished his swim lessons for the summer. I should preface by saying, he is already a great swimmer so now he is really learning to do the different strokes well. He had so much fun and cracks us up because he would come home everyday and tell us how many laps he swam. (Only he kept track and didn't need to) I saw that he was really getting the strokes down and is becoming an awesome swimmer!!! Good job Coops!!!

Colton is a Dolphin

I should have done this post a while back but it is okay to catch up now.

This summer we decided to sign Colton up for a swim team in New Braunfels. He tried out at the beginning of May and became a Landa Park Dolphin. He goes to practice three times a week(most weeks) and has had two swim meets so far. It is so nice because this team is very laid back and there is no pressure. The goal is to practice three times a week but they understand that life and summer get busy. The meets are optional too. All are encouraged but none mandatory. That is what we need with the fun of summer and the business of having three kiddos.
Anyway, the first meet was in May and more of a practice meet to "get your feet wet." The whole motto of this team to be better than your last time, not so much about beating others but bettering yourself. Love the postivity that builds!! Before the first meet, the kids were asked to write the word can't on a piece of paper as many times as they could. Then to start the meet, everyone crumbled their paper up and threw it in a barrel. Then all the can'ts were burned. Now the swimmers are no longer allowed to use the word can't, only can do! Love that!!
Here are some of the swimmers watching their can'ts being lit. (Colton is  on the right in the blue goggles)

Anyway, the meet went well and it was a learning experience for sure. We got to see how the whole process works. Colton competed in the freestyle and backstroke. He did great!

The second meet was very different. Several teams were there so there were a LOT of swimmers. Colton competed in the freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke(his favorite). He beat his times from the last meet and that is the goal. Yay Colton!!  He has a meet coming up on the 30th and he is looking forward to it!! We all are!

Father's Day

Cody and I have been both blessed with amazing Dads who also happen to be amazing grandfathers. We are all so lucky!! Now my boys are so lucky to have the Daddy I always prayed they would have! Cody is such a Godly example of what a husband, father and man should be. He is so involved in the boys activities and day to day life. He is loving and fun and a perfect role model for our little men!! Happy Father's day to these three WONDERFUL dads!!

Skybox Shower

Cody and I spent Friday night with some of our favorite friends celebrating Lexi and Brad. Instead of a traditional shower, we all went to the Dierks Bentley concert at Whitewater Amphitheater and had so much fun in the skybox. Dierks put on a good show and it was just a little preview of the fun we will all have at Lexi and Brad's wedding. Can't wait for their big day!! Just a few weeks to go!

4 hour job

Okay, so my pantry had gotten sooo bad. It was making me nuts! It was full, things were falling off the shelves, you couldn't walk in it anymore...embarrassing! I would say I border on being a hoarder when it comes to snacks and food. ;) I would buy more stuff and just cram it in there because I knew I needed hours to clean it out. Well, I was right. It took over 4 hours to get it back to normal. Sad to say but I filled a very large trash can with expired food and things we just didn't want. Ridiculous I know! In honor of keeping it real, I will share pictures.

Welcome to my pantry...

Here is the before(don't judge me)...

I had a cute, little helper. He would take stuff out, clap and then head back in. So funny!

Here is the after....

                                                                    Much better!
