Spring Break Fun- Friday

On Friday, we headed to a ranch in South Texas for a little one night getaway for some fishing, relaxing and smores. We went with Cody's business partner and his family who we enjoy spending time with.
Colton caught a fish pretty quickly.

Then Carter caught one as soon as Cody got the pole in the water for him.

                                                                 He was so happy!
But he did NOT want to touch it-at all!
My hubby really wanted him to feel inside the fish's mouth before we threw it back. Finally he did for maybe a second, with some extra encouragement from his Daddy and Coop.

Poor Cooper was determined to catch a fish. He moved all around the water but unfortunately, he never got one.

Then Colton caught another one. He was so pleased with himself. =)

This is Colton and Hallie. The boys and her get along really well. She is 9 and lots of fun.

Cute girl!!

Love my guys!!!!
We headed home Saturday morning and spent the rest of the weekend trying to accomplish stuff around the house and getting ready for school on Monday. We were not ready for Spring break to end. Oh well, we enjoyed it and we are that much closer to summer!!

A few random, good things

So March is here. Hard to believe. Time is just flying!
Catching up with some good randoms...
Cody's grandmother's 87th birthday was March 1. She is so amazing! Still on the go and staying so active. So awesome! We had a yummy lunch to celebrate with her.
Almost all of her great grand kids.

Grady and Carter giving Nana some love!!

Cooper finished his basketball season. He loved it and it was so fun to watch him. He got better each and every week. We were amazed at how well he shot. The boy made at least 6 baskets each game. Lots of them were even three pointers! The last game he ended with 10 baskets. That goes to show you what practicing does. Cooper is outside shooting hoops in all of his spare time. We loved cheering him on! It was a great season. Proud of our #15!!

At the end of the last six weeks, Colton got the character award at school for Courtesy. They give one per class. I went and watched him accept his certificate on the announcements. Makes us so proud!!

Cooper was the star student for his class recently. He was able to invite a special guest to visit his class. He chose to invite Colton. I thought that was awesome!! Colton got to spend 30 minutes with the class. He  shared how he uses reading, writing, and math in his life. He read some interesting facts about marshmallows and then quizzed the class! He also took them small bags of marshmallows as a treat. Then the kids got to ask him lots of questions. I saw Cooper's teacher later that day and she just raved on how great Colton did and how mature he is. Proud Mama!

Cooper and his best buddy Cole
The class had to guess what Cooper put in the box.

We have already started baseball season so things will get nuts but fun around here. Both of  my big boys will play Little League again. Colton is on the Cubs this year and Cooper is on the Red Sox. Carter will be their biggest fan once again! =)
Bring on Spring!

Cooper's program

Cooper's second grade program was last week and it was so cute. The theme was "And the Winner is...?"  and they sang songs that were nominated for or won Academy Awards. The kids were supposed to dress fancy as if they were going to an award ceremony. Cooper loves to dress up in a coat and tie so he was excited!

The program was adorable! They sang cute songs like "Let it Go", "Hakuna Matata", "You've Got a Friend in Me", "Route 66", "Beyond the Sea", "I'm a Believer" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah". They did a great job!!

He did great with his speaking part!
Wish this picture was better but he was laughing at Colton singing along beside me.

Ian and Cooper

Cooper did a great job and made us so proud as usual!

Rodeo Time

Yay!! It's that time again. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is back. We love going and luckily my mother in law gave us some tickets to see Tim McGraw on Saturday. The Rodeo itself was great and Tim McGraw was wonderful in concert. We all enjoyed it!

The weather was so nice that we were able to go ride the rides at the carnival for a little while. I took the big boys to one area to ride the bigger rides and Cody took Carter to the other side to ride things he was big enough for.

Cooper passed on riding this one with Colton.

They both rode this one. It spun it perfect circles for a long time.

When they got off, Colton needed a break. So Cooper rode the Sea Dragon by himself.

Then they were both back at it for this one...

 And this one...
This thing was going soooo fast and playing great music. Can see you Colton's with his arms up dancing? Poor Cooper was squished next to him. They loved it!
Meanwhile, Cody had Carter on the other side of the fairgrounds riding rides.
Starting to climb up
Ready to go...
Yay!!! SO fun!
On the ferris wheel...

It was a fun day!!
