5th grade graduation

Ready to go graduate

Colton's graduation was awesome! I am in awe of this kid. He received certificates for Student Council, Perfect Attendance, KGRE, All A Honor roll, Art Helper, Duke TIP, Character Award and topped it off with the American Legion Award!!!! He has worked so hard and we couldn't be prouder!!! So glad we are part of Garden Ridge Elementary!

Here he is receiving his American Legion Award. They chose one boy and one girl runner up and one boy and one girl winner from 5th grade to receive it. I love the look on his face. He was so excited!! We were too!

My father in law and my hubby both won the American Legion award when they were in 5th grade! 3 generations--how cool is that? 

Carter was there to watch his Bubba but Cooper had his class party at the exact same time as the awards.

I still can't believe my first baby is off to middle school next year! Such a huge milestone but I know he is ready for it! My Colton is such a smart, fun and kind person but most of all he has a great heart. A heart for God and others. He makes us so proud every single day. I look so forward to seeing the success he has in middle school! 

Field day

The big boys had a great field day again this year. They did lots of fun activities...spoon race, three legged race, bat spin, tug of war, etc. It was a little hot but still a lot of fun. Carter spent the day with me there and loved running around the field and watching the big kids. 

DARE graduation

5th graders take part in the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education)program. Colton learned so much from Officer Ron and really enjoyed the class every Monday. This week the kids graduated from the program. Each kid got a certificate and a t-shirt. Colton also got runner up in the essay contest and won a neat dog tag necklace!! Proud of my boy!!

Carter's Fun day

On the last day of school for Carter, they host a fun day. It is awesome! They have snow cones, inflatables, balloon animals, face painting, tattoos and a petting zoo. Afterwards we picnic. Such a fun way to end the school year.

Art Showcase

The district has an Art and Technology Showcase every year. This year a piece of Colton's art work was selected to be displayed there. It was his scream parody piece.Loved it!! He was excited! (Of course he had a baseball game right afterward. )

Mother's day

I am so, sO, SO thankful that God made me a Mama! Being a Boymom is a gift that I would have never known to ask for but am internally grateful to have been given. I couldn't have hand picked better boys to spend my days and nights loving on, worrying about, praying for, hugging, disciplining, laughing with, kissing and adoring. They are amazing! I couldn't love anything more! 

Carter made me this necklace in his preschool class. He was so excited about it. He kept telling me the week before that he made something with his thumb and paint. He couldn't wait for me to open it! I love it!!!

I am thankful that I have a Mama is not only my best friend but also a wonderful Mammy to my boys. We all adore her and love each minute we get to be together! 

I am also thankful that I have a mother in law who has a huge heart and feels like a second mother to me. She is also an adoring Omi and my boys love their time with her. 

We are all lucky enough to have Cody's grandma--our Nana. She is 87 and still active and sweet. What a gift she is to all of us!
