Okay, sorry I am a day behind on posting this but I had lots of photos to download. So CAUTION--lots of photos ahead!
We packed up on Friday afternoon and headed to the coast for the long weekend. We got there late but my big boys were still so excited to wake up super early(4:30am) to go wade fishing. They had a great time! Apparently, they swam more than fished but loved it! I wasn't there so this is the only picture from their fishing adventure.

Carter and I slept in and then headed to the beach with my mom. My Aunt Janet, Uncle Don and my cousin Kym's family were there and it was so nice to hang out with them. Here are the few pictures I took that morning.

Carter and his second cousin Karlee. Isn't she beautiful? |

My Mama and Me |
After good naps, we swam while my hubby barbecued us a yummy brisket. Somehow I took zero pictures of that swimming session. I made up for it in the morning when we swam again with my parents and my brother's family. Here ya go...

Cool Carter |
After yet some more great naps, just the five of us headed to the beach. It was awesome. We waited until almost 7:00pm to go and it was cooling off. We stayed a few hours and had so much fun. Cody and the big boys tried to catch some fish with a big net... No success there. Oh well!
|
You can't see the net but they were out there throwing it. |
Then we collected shells, played in the sand and the waves. Colton would have stayed out in the water all night if we let him. He loves the ocean! Cooper and Carter enjoy the sand more.
|
Sand pie anyone? |
My hubby was so patient and took the time to untangle and put together one of our very difficult but so neat pirate ship kites. Everyone took their turn flying it and loved it.

The hubs and I |
We got up Monday morning and headed home but not before stopping to buy the boys a souvenir that they have been begging for. Meet Hermie the Hermit Crab(Colton's) and Batman Fly Harry the Hermit Crab(Cooper couldn't decide on one name).
We love the coast and all the quality time we get there!!!
