Colton and Cooper are complete opposites. I have said it before but I still see how true it is everyday. It is amazing to me how two boys growing up in the same house, with the same parents can be nothing alike. Both are amazing little guys but are oh so different. Here is my latest example of that....
One day there were some baby armadillos hanging out on the side of our house.
Cody called the boys to come quick and check out these creatures. So they both ran outside. Then they both came running right back in. Cooper ran one direction and got his bbgun. Colton ran the other direction and got his drawing paper and markers.
Cooper begged to shoot one...he loves to hunt like his Daddy. We did NOT let him shoot it. Cody told him no since they were young armadillos and we just don't see very many around here anymore. He did aim at them and was very intrigued by the fact that you can get right up close to these ugly animals. Apparently, they can't see or hear very well.
Colton sat down on the porch and did a quick drawing of one of the armadillos. He loves to draw and loved that he could really check out his "subject".
Seriously, it is crazy how different my big boys are. I do love everything about them both though!!

What a great story! I love how everyone in our family is just a little bit different. It makes things so exciting!
Lots of Love! xoxox
This is cute! It's sweet seeing how they react to them and how different they are! The drawing is very good!
Boys are great! I love that you captured the difference the two of them are! I am stopping by from Jenna's Comment Challenge!
This is too funny, Melanie! It will be fun to see the differences in Z and Colson as they grow up, too. You are such a good mom.
I love your beach pictures! All those sweet smiles. That kite was so neat.
PS. I'm a little behind in answering questions. So sorry! You asked if I use any editing program...
I just use iphoto on my mac to play around with pictures.
That is so cute! My oldest two are the same way, we cannot believe they are biological siblings :) Love your blog!
Your boys are certainly daddy's boys! I would've probably been holding that gun with such a shaky hand I'd probably shoot myself on my toes... Yet your boy carries it with such ease!
And I have never seen baby armadillos before, and they're sooo adorable!
Following you from Bee Friendly Friday Hop. I'd love for you to come and visit me at http://dosweatthesmallstuffblog.blogspot.com/
Oooh my gosh! I love this! I love how one son grabbed a gun and the other grabbed a paper and markers. That's too funny! Thanks for capturing it on camera :)
Stopping by from Jenna's!
This makes me think about my boys - I have a hunch they will be like yours! Their personalities are already so different!
Hopping over from Jenna's. Aren't boys great :) We have 4 and the certainly keep us on our toes. And it's so neat how brothers are so unique!
looking forward to stopping back by.
