Colton's foot surgery

Colton has had lots of issues with his feet. He has what they call an "accessory bone". He basically kept constant tendinitis. They had to remove the extra bone. Then they cut the bone on the other side of his foot and placed a graft there to help provide support because he has super flat feet. The surgery went well. He has a titanium anchor where the tendon was reattached and a plate and screws where the heel bone was split and the graft was placed. He is in for a long recovery. He can't even put weight on his foot for 5-6 weeks. In total it is a 3 month recovery. Poor guy!

A broken hand

My poor Colton! Six years ago today he broke his arm on the playground at school. Today, he broke his hand/middle finger on the football field. Praying it doesn't need surgery.

*Luckily he doesn't need surgery just a cast and no sports for 5-6 weeks. =(

Happy Grandparent's Day

I am so grateful for the love and laughter, the kisses and kindness, the patience and playfulness, the hugs and hand holding, the dependableness and dedication, and the greatness of GRANDparents!! My boys are so blessed to have them!!!

Back to School

Today my boys started back to school. It is so hard to believe that I have a 1st grader, 5th grader and an 8th grader.
Although the excitement and nerves kept everyone from falling asleep right away, they all popped up and got going. They were excited for the day!

Hard to believe it is his last year in elementary school!

Can't believe next year he will start high school!

Carter and his best buddy Ty.

They all had really good first days! Carter told me he thinks first grade is gonna be really fun and that Mrs. Jeske is so nice! Cooper was a little less enthusiastic but did say it was a good day! And of course, Mrs. Borron is cool!
Colton's day was pretty good. He has a big course load so it is pretty serious. Plus, he was so tired since he had football practice after school until 6:00pm.

I know it will be a great school year for all three of them!

Last day of summer

We continued our tradition of spending our last day of summer at Schlitterbahn. All the other school disticts near us started yesterday and we have one last day. SO it is really nice at the bahn. No lines and not very crowded at all. Plus we see so many of our friends. We always joke that it is Comal ISD day. ;)

Fun group of kiddos

Colton with two of his best friends- Luke and Nick
Hairdos compliments of the 8th grade girls!

Love my boys!!!!
Anyway, the boys had so much fun and we made the most of their last day of freedom. ;)

Meet the Teacher Night

So even though we are not ready for summer to be ending, it is almost over. We had Meet the Teacher night for my two elementary school boys last night. They were both pretty excited to see some friends and see which teacher they got.

Carter got Mrs. Jeske for 1st grade and we were super happy about that. Cooper had her when she taught second and he had the best year. He loved her and he had told Carter just how awesome she is. Carter was so excited that he will be in her class.

Cooper got Mrs. Borron for 5th grade. She happens to be one of his best friend's mom. She has become a close friend of mine so it will be great to help her out in the classroom with parties and field trips. Coop will have all five teachers but his homeroom will be Mrs. Borron. We are pumped about that!!

We are so blessed to be at an awesome school with amazing teachers! It will be a great year!

On a side note, need to say how big of a help Cooper and Colton were that evening. They helped parents get their kids' school supply boxes for two hours.

Fair warning

I am SOOOO behind on my blogging but I do not want to give up on it. I love having these books to print out as a fun journal/scrapbook for my boys. I am determined to catch up. So you will see lots of posts that are old but just being published. Sorry- you have been warned. ;) This Mama has been busy but really wants to get back to updating my blog and reading all of yours. =)

Missions game

We were able to enjoy a suite at the Missions game the last night. We took both of our parents, my brother's bunch and some good friends. The Missions didn't win but we got a few extra innings of baseball and fireworks afterwards. We had a great time!!

Carter loves the Ballapeno!

17 years

Today Cody and I celebrate 17 years of marriage! I thank the Lord each day for bringing us together and for blessing us with our three amazing boys! I love Cody Mueller and the life we have built with all of my heart and soul!!

We spent the day relaxing with the boys and then decided to do a family dinner to the Tower of the Americas. The boys have been talking about wanting to go up there and it is neat that you rotate around the whole time you eat. The elevator ride all the way up is so pretty.

The boys watched Big on tv recently so we had to get a fortune here. =)

We had ice cream after dinner and I thought this sign was too cute!

My hubby gave me my favorite flowers and the sweetest card!

17 years later and I still feel like the luckiest girl in the world!

Carter's party

Carter had his birthday party at Laser Legend this year. He has seen his brothers have parties there and has always loved it. He was so excited to have his buddies there to play Laser Tag and video games together. He has been all about robots so he wanted a robot themed party there. That is what we did!

Everyone had lots of fun especially Carter!
