15 Year Anniversary getaway!

Cody and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary on the 24th. We were able to getaway to Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. We stayed at The Garza Blanca Resort. It was amazing! Our honeymoon suite was so nice! We had a gorgeous view with a hammock and jacuzzi on our balcony.

We got settled in and checked out the resort until our dinner reservation. My sweet hubby heard of a great restaurant called the Vista Grill so he made the reservation from home. It had a beautiful view and was a perfect place to watch the sunset.

The next morning we had breakfast and checked out some new parts of the resort. Then we headed into town and did some shopping on the boardwalk.

The next morning, Cody got up super early for a guided fishing trip. He caught a huge Marlin and two sailfish. It was a "bucket list" trip.

While he fished, I got a wonderful, two hour massage and then relaxed by the pool and on the beach.

That evening, we did an excursion called Rhythms of the Night. We took a boat to an island lit completely by candlelight and torches. There was a really neat show and delicious meal. Such a great night.

On our last evening, we had dinner at a restaurant in our hotel. It had a gorgeous view. We ate as the sun was setting. Delicious food and very romantic!

The morning we left, we spent sometime on the beach. Cody did some snorkeling while I got some sun.

We loved Puerto Vallarta!! The people were so kind and it was clean and safe.  I also can't say enough about the amazing resort! We had the best time!! Everything was beautiful and the service was topnotch. I am so grateful that Cody and I were able to getaway together. We had a perfect 15th anniversary! I look forward to many more blessed years with my hubby!!
Thanks to our parents, my brother and Laura, and Cody's brother Bobby and his wife Hillary for keeping  our boys while we were gone. We sure missed them but they had a great time with their grandparents and cousins!

Surf Shack Photos

The photographer we use for a lot of our pictures was offering a summer mini shoot, so I thought that would be perfect for Carter's 5 year pictures. When I saw the theme and set up, I had to have all of my boys in it. Here are the cute pictures of my handsome boys! Love 'em!

VBS

Our church had another successful and fun Vacation Bible School. Some days as many as 1200 kids came through the doors to learn about God! Nothing quite like a room full of kids singing and praising the Lord...AMAZING! I helped in the kitchen with snacks again and it was busy but great! The theme was Weird Animals and my boys loved every minute of the week!

Fun at the Coast

We got away for another weekend at the coast. It was pretty low key which was perfect! We got down there pretty late on Friday so we got settled and the boys swam. Saturday morning, Cody and the big boys got up early and went fishing with my dad. They caught a few keepers and had a good time. Carter, my mom and I slept in and hung out. When the fishermen got back, we spent sometime by the pool. That evening, we had a yummy dinner by the water. Then we went for some delicious ice cream at a fun place called Dessert Island.

It was a great weekend!!! I love summer!!

Girl's Getaway

Every summer I am lucky enough to get away with some of my favorite ladies. This year the four of us headed to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Aria and enjoyed every minute! We had long, delicious dinners, laid by the pool, relaxed at the spa, saw a wonderful show, danced 'til our feet hurt, got a photo with a celebrity, gambled, had a few drinks, laughed until our stomachs hurt and chatted for hours. These ladies mean so much to me and the friendship we share is so hard to find. Grateful for it!
Fresh off the plane. Excited to be here!!

Rock of Ages was an awesome show! I highly recommend it.

Ran into Wanda Sykes in the bathroom =)

We had so much fun! We came back refreshed and ready to take care of our little families again! SO thankful for our wonderful hubbies that gave us the opportunity to have some time away and took such good care of our kiddos while we were gone!
