Spring Break---gone so fast?

Well, I was so looking forward to Spring Break and had all these great things planned for the week. Unfortunately, I got really sick with the flu on that Saturday and was down and out until Tuesday. Thank goodness for a great hubby and our wonderful parents. My parents were my attentive nurses on Sunday while Cody kept the big boys busy. On Monday, Colton and Cooper got to go Artworks and the park with Omi. Cody took off that day and helped me out at home with Carter. Then Tuesday, Omi and Opi took the big boys to the San Antonio children's museum and a fun lunch. By Wednesday, I was determined to get out and take them somewhere but nothing too major since my energy level was still low. So we went and got their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny and ate at the mall. They also spent several dollars in quarters on those little cars you can ride in. That night we went to Rain Forest Cafe to celebrate Cody's parent's anniversary. That is such a neat place. On Thursday, we laid low and hung out at home. We just enjoyed the beautiful weather. Then on Friday, Mammy kept Carter so I could take Colton and Cooper to see "How to Train Your Dragon." It is a super cute movie and my boys loved it!
So long story short, the flu interrupted our Spring Break but it still turned out pretty good. The best part is that no one else has caught the flu yet...knock on wood.
Here are a few pictures I was able to take:

9 months

Okay- so it was yesterday that Carter turned 9 months but I still wanted to blog about my sweet baby. Let's see... what is he up to? Well, he is eating like a little piggie, clapping, rolls to get to what he wants, throws cute mini-fits to tell you how he really feels, gets on his hands and knees and rocks but no crawling yet. His two front top teeth poked through last week but I haven't caught a shot of them. He loves to swing outside in his dolphin swing. When you push him in it, as the wind blows, he does that suck in kind of laugh(you know what I mean) and it is adorable! His red hair is really growing and getting a little wild- it is so cute!  He loves to be outside and he loves to watch his brothers playing. They still adore him too. I love his smile and he has just the sweetest spirit about him. In a word...PERFECT!

Field Trip to the Zoo

Colton had his second field trip on Friday. We went to the Zoo and had so much fun! The weather was beautiful and we had the freedom to see what we wanted to see. The highlights for Colton were: the elephants, monkeys, the "beach" area, the play area, and the hippos. Here a few snapshots:

Favorite Quote

I found this quote on another blog I was reading... I absolutely love it!

"You don't raise heroes, you raise sons. And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes."

Texas Program

Colton had his 1st grade program at school last week. It was super cute. They sang several cute songs and played some instruments. Since it was a Texas theme, all of them were dressed in their cowboy gear. Adorable! Colton did really good and he had a great fan club there to watch. We are so lucky that we have grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins that care so much. I know he felt the love. =)
