31 Week Baby Update

Today was my 31 week checkup for Baby Carter. I got to have a sonogram to see about how big he is. The guess is about 4.4 lbs. Definitely above average but not scary big. He is a precious sight to see. He was sucking his thumb again and all stretched out. He is kind of laying in an L shape in my belly. (No wonder when he kicks I feel it on both sides.) Definitely head down, way down. Anyway, all looks great and we are getting more and more excited around here. The boys are so funny. They talk to him everyday and kiss my belly each morning and night. So cute!
Here are a few pictures of Carter's profile. One is of him putting his thumb in his mouth. =)

A Great Getaway

We left on Thursday night and headed to the coast for three days of sun and fun. My parents and my brother, Laura and their boys went too. We had a great time! My boys adore the beach and saltwater. No matter how windy it was, there was no stopping them. (We spent very little time at the pool because the water was too chilly.) The loved playing in the sand and splashing in the waves. We got a body board and Colton wore himself out on that thing. He was getting pretty good at it too. Saturday morning the big guys took the boys fishing in my Dad's boat and they all loved that. They caught enough fish to get them really excited, even if they weren't keepers. We hated to head back Sunday but such is life. Here are some fun pictures from our mini vacation.

What a good Daddy!!!!

Spots!

Cooper has a yucky rash. A large part of his body is covered in tiny red bumps. The Doctor suspects that it is strep but we are waiting on the throat culture to tell us for sure tomorrow.(The one done in office yesterday was negative but can be wrong.) So here is a tid bit of how Cooper felt about these spots yesterday:
Opi asks, "Did you go to school today?"
Cooper says," NO, because of these damn spots!!"
Oh boy, do we have our work cut out for us!
Hard to tell by this picture but his belly is covered in the rash. You can tell how he feels about it by the look on his face though. Poor baby...oh I mean big boy!

Our Baptism

Today was a special day for Cody and I. We took the opportunity to get baptized. We love our church, Oakwood Baptist, and wanted to become full fledged members. In order to do that, you have to be baptized. Cody was raised Methodist and had gone through confirmation but has never been baptized. I was baptized as a six year old but barely remember it. Today was the perfect time to renew our commitment to the Lord. And what could be better than us having this wonderful experience together? Our good friend and part of our small group, Brent(also happens to be the high school pastor at Oakwood), performed the baptism and that made it that much more special to us. Our boys watched along with our family and some of our friends. It was just what we had hoped for. What a great day!

Pictures from Cooper's Birthday

Cooper's John Deere birthday party was at Pump It Up and he had a blast. He loved running from inflatable thing to inflatable thing. Of course, he loved having all of his friends there and definitely his tractor cake. It was a great day!
Here are a few funny comments our three year old has made lately:

"Daddy, now that I am a big boy, can I wear deodorant?"
"Seriously Mama. My tractor is stuck!"
"Daddy, you are overreacting."
"I am a big boy- I drink coffee."
"You have got to be kidding me!"

A good question.

Cody: Boys, why do we celebrate Easter?

Cooper: Because Jesus lives!

Colton: It is a symbol of new life!

****Wow!! Great answers boys!! ****

Happy Easter!

Just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Easter! Hope you get lots of time with your family and friends!!

Cooper turns 3!!

My baby is turning 3 years old and I can hardly believe it! This year has flown by and he has become quite a big boy! My sweet Cooper is a full of fun, active, healthy, loving, chatty and smart boy. I am so thankful that God gave him to us!

Here are a few things I love about Cooper Wiley:
*He will talk to anyone!
*He is part comedian I think--constantly cracking us up.
*Everything makes him excited!
*He is our tool box----filling his pockets with pocketknives(made safe), chap stick, and cellphones.
*He loves his big brother and wants to be just like him.
*His facial expressions make him seem wise beyond his years.
*I hear "I love you mommy" from the backseat about ten times a day.
*He likes his face and hands clean so he asks for wipees.
*He is not afraid to get the rest of him dirty.
*He talks non-stop and makes interesting conversation.
*He has a great memory.
*He loves music and has great rhythm.
*He likes to follow his Daddy around "helping"outside.
*He is crazy for anything John Deere.
*His smile and laugh are infectious.
*He lets you know what he wants and when he wants it.
*He still likes me to rock him each night.
*Right at two and a half he decided he wanted to wear undies and has had very few accidents since.
*He will try most any kind of food at least once.
*He is very curious and observant.
*He has a big brother who loves him very much.
*He makes his Daddy and I so proud!!

Baby update

I went to the Dr. today for my 28 week visit. All is good. The baby is still measuring two weeks ahead of schedule. Our doctor says she thinks he may already be 3 pounds!! Crazy! I go back on the 30th and get to have another sonogram to measure and see just how big he is getting. Can't wait to see him again. He is constantly moving and kicking. It is so nice to feel him in there. Oh- we have decided on a first name and it is....Carter! I love it. We are still finalizing the middle name.

Boys and Bunnies

We took the boys to take pictures with live bunnies last weekend. I know my boys are trained well when it comes to taking pictures but this shoot was super easy for the photographer. They both loved the bunnies so much that they couldn't help but smile from ear to ear! The only awkward moment was when Colton noticed a few brown little pellets on his lap. =) He was a good sport about it though. Here are a few of my favorite shots of my handsome boys!
