WILW

Happy Wednesday!! Time again for...

I am loving that Colton and Cooper are enjoying school so far. I know we are only in week two but they are still ready to go in the mornings. They both love their teachers, have made some great friends and are having fun!!! Can't ask for more than that.

I am loving that even though I am missing my big boys while they are at school, I am getting lots of quality time with my baby! He and I are having lots of fun each day!!

Speaking of my baby, I am loving the way he shows you how old he is....

So cute right?? My big two year old!! =)

I am loving that I got to go along wedding dress shopping with Cody's sister Stacy. She said yes to a dress and it is beautiful!!!! She and her fiance Jason have set a wedding date so the Mueller family will be having a fun and joyful celebration on January 14, 2012. So excited!!

I am loving that tomorrow I get to watch my sweet niece Livvy Grace. Carter and I are looking forward to some quality time with her cute self.

Isn't she adorable?!?!
I am loving that this weekend Cody and I get to have a fun date night to dinner and then to the Randy Rodgers Band concert. (I have mentioned before that this band is one of my hubby's favorites and I really like them too.) We got super lucky and got hooked up with VIP tickets that include backstage passes(thanks Laura). Should be tons of  fun!!!!

Lastly, I am loving that my boys do NOT have school on Monday because of the Labor Day holiday. Yayyyyyy!!!
Link up with Jaime and share what you are loving this Wednesday!

**Btw~Happy, Happy Birthday to my sil Laura!!! Looking forward to celebrating with you!!!**

Carter's play date

Since the boys have been back to school, Carter has been a little lost. He does lots of "Mama-watch this." Mama- come here." He and I do lots of talking. I love the quality time I have with my littlest man!!
Today we met up with some of my favorite friends that have little girls that are really close to Carter's age. We went to The Jumpy Place and we had a great time. The kiddos played and got out lots of energy and Laci, Melissa and I got to chat. Perfect play date!!

Such a big boy! He climbed up the ladder and slid by himself over and over again.

Harper's baby sister Hadlee--isn't she precious?

Carter loved this shopping cart!!

First Day of School

Well, we made it through the first day. Everyone did really good. The boys were both excited and ready to get going this morning. I actually didn't use my tissues at school because Cooper was so excited so it was easier for me to put on a brave face. I had some moments throughout the day but for the most part I did good.
Here are my handsome big boys before we left for school.

Here they are in front of their fabulous school...

Here is my big Kindergartner. He was so excited to start "big school". He walked in and seemed so comfortable. His teacher is Mrs. Miller. Colton had her in kinder and she is fabulous!! He had a great day and already has two good buddies...Bobby and Riley.

Here is my big 3rd grader. He was excited too! His homeroom teacher is Mrs. Cannon but since third grade is taught in teams, he also has Mrs. Crosland. She was his teacher last year and moved up a grade level. We were so happy to hear that Colton gets to have her half of the day. They are both fabulous teachers!! He had a few old friends in his class so that made him happy.

Cody wasn't in this picture because he stayed in the hallway. =)
Carter and I had a good day just hanging out. We missed the big boys so much though. I was so ready to go pick them up at the end of the day! They both enjoyed their day and were full of stories to tell me when they got in the car. They were both exhausted this afternoon but look forward to tomorrow. It is going to be a great year!!!

Confetti or Kleenex??

I mentioned the other day that someone asked me if I would be a confetti or Kleenex mom on the first day of school. Well, that answer is too easy....definitely a Kleenex mom!! I have been tearing up off and on all day just thinking about tomorrow morning. It is so hard for me to believe that I will have two boys in "big school". I need extra Kleenex since my Coops is starting kindergarten--I mean that is a huge a milestone.
Tonight, we read a few books about back to school and a few kids devotionals about making friends and being the kind of person God hopes for us to be.
Then we said our prayer asking God to help the boys have a great first day and to help them make good choices all day long.  Then I asked the boys if they were nervous or excited. Colton said " a little nervous and a lot excited." Cooper agreed!
Ultimately, I have the same answer(besides being a little sad).  I am "a little nervous" for the transitions. Cooper has to adjust to a long day and new routine in kinder. Colton is starting such a big year. Third grade is where it goes from lower elementary to upper elementary so his day will be much more challenging. But really, I know they will both do great so I am "a lot excited" for them. They both got fabulous teachers and go to such a great school. I really can't complain.(Accept that I will miss them all.day.long.) Thank goodness I have this cute little guy to keep me busy.

Well, I have packed lunches complete with a little note, their backpacks are ready, their clothes are laid out and I have rambled here long enough.

Thanks for hanging in there if you made it this far! ;)
For those of you that have kids starting school tomorrow I hope you are stocked on confetti or Kleenex...whichever one you need! Happy school year!!!

Spy Kids 4

Today was our last day of summer(well besides the weekend). We decided to go see Spy Kids 4. The boys love the three other Spy Kids movies and so they were looking forward to seeing it. Apparently, it is a 4d movie but we went to the 2d showing because I was afraid Carter would take off the glasses and he would be watching the whole thing in a blur. Anyway, it was actually really good. I was skeptical because well, it is the fourth one. I wondered how it wouldn't get too cheesy. It was really cute and Jessica Alba and Joel McHale did a good job in it! We all enjoyed it!!

Incredible pizza

We are still squeezing in summer fun! We were supposed to go roller skating today but when the boys and I and my sil Laura and my nephew Landon pulled up to the rink, it was closed.  Oops! So my sil and I started trying to figure out a plan b. We decided on a place called Incredible Pizza. It is a huge place with tons of arcade games, go carts, bumpers cars and of course yummy pizza/dessert. We have been there before but it was a long time ago. The boys loved every minute of our morning there. We had a great time!!!!

This neat, old car sits in the entrance as you walk in.

Cooper loves anything you can ride

Colton loooves these crane machines. His goal was to win Carter a toy and he did. He got him a red alligator.
This next game was so cool. They picked what sword they wanted to use and then  used their hands to touch the screen and chop up fruit.

Cooper taking aim. He also loves any kind of shooting game.

ZDTs

Last night when I asked Colton and Cooper to name one place that we haven't been this summer that they wanted to go before school starts, they both named ZDTs. So that is where we headed today.  It is one of those places where you pay for a wristband and can play all the video games and ride the rides. They have it split into two areas.  The inside area is full of arcade games, ball city area, a rockwall and a "bungy thing". Outside they have a few fun carnival rides and a great water slide. We lucked out and the lines weren't long so they got to ride most of the rides several times.
My mil offered to keep Carter(thanks Omi) so we could do all of these things that he is too small for. My sil Hillary and nephew Graham joined us for a fun day.

Cooper, Colton and Graham getting ready for the parachute drop.

I have to apologize to Colton. He loves the "bungy thing" and I would have taken lots of pictures of him during his turn but my camera battery died right after Cooper had his turn. I did get some pictures on my phone but they are not clear. =(
Anyway, it was another day spent squeezing in fun! Tomorrow- we roller skate! =)

Squeezing in fun

I mentioned that this is our last week of summer and we are working hard to squeeze in lots of fun. Here is how we spent the first two days of our week.
We went to visit Cody at his office yesterday. The boys loved hanging out there! The boys made sure to pick up everything and ask him about everything on his desk and shelves. Cody was very patient and answered each question and showed them everything! Such a good Daddy!!! Then we took Cody to lunch and had a yummy meal at one of my favorite places--EZ's. It was a great way to spend our day.

Love all my handsome guys!!!!
Today, we got up early and ate breakfast at McDonald's. Then we headed to the library. The boys love to play on the computers there and check out books.

Colton was so sweet and helped Carter play games. Carter was so funny with the headphones though. He was talking so very loud. I finally had to make him take them off. =)

After we loaded up on books, we headed to see the movie Zookeeper.  It was very funny ~ my boys laughed really hard. I hadn't heard the best reviews but I am glad we saw it. It was really cute!

This was all by 1:00pm. It is amazing how much you can do when you get up at 6:45am. =) We had a great day!!
