2. Tell 7 things about yourself....look below.

3. Award other bloggers (ideally it should be passed along to 15 'recently discovered bloggers' but I'm thinking that I'll award less since I'm still really new to blogging(publicly anyway)!

4. Contact the recently awarded bloggers and let them know they've won :)) I am sending the emails now but my computer is super slow so I may have to do this in shifts. =)

So on to the 7 things about myself...

{1} I have known my husband Cody since I was 8 years old. We were "going together" in 4th through 8th grade (I have a note from him back then that says circle yes or no), then we broke up. In high school we were always friends but one of us always had a boyfriend/girlfriend while the other one was single. Finally, in January of our Senior year, Cody got my mom to help break me up from the guy I was dating. =) Cody and I had our first date on February 3rd of 1995. We have been inseparable ever since and we got married in July of 1999.

{2} I am a shopaholic. There I said it. I love to shop!!! Especially for my boys but really buying for other people just makes me very happy! I get a serious high while I am shopping. Don't get me wrong, I love to buy things for myself too...mainly clothes.  I love having new things to wear. I have decided that I need to work on this.

{3} I write cheesy little rhyming poems. I try to tie in things going on in our life to make them meaningful to my boys(you know when they read this stuff someday). You can read just how much of a cheese ball I am with a few of my poems here, herehere and here. You can not laugh. =)

{4} I used to be an elementary school teacher. I really loved teaching but always dreamed of being a stay at home mom. Once I had my oldest, Colton, 8 years ago I began staying home. I guess you can say I have my dream job...domestic engineer. ;)

{5} I  love pictures. Especially of my boys. If they happen to be in matching outfits, that is even better. (contributes to my shopping problem) I really enjoy taking pictures and always have my camera handy. When I get some spare time, I would love to take some photography classes.

{6} I have mentioned this before but I am a night owl. I run on very little sleep. Most nights I am up until 1:00am or so( it is 2:04 am as I type this). I get up with Colton at 6:30 am to get him ready for school. Amazingly, I function pretty well on this small amount of shuteye. Every couple of weeks, it will hit me like a ton of bricks and I will feel horrible until I get some sleep. I know this is soooo bad  for me. I will probably age much quicker and I certainly need more beauty sleep. This is something else I need to work on.

{7} I was a cheerleader through elementary, middle and high school. It is still such a part of my personality. I talk to everyone, can't stand still when music is playing and occasionally bust out the "spirit fingers". ;) I have to say though that being a cheerleader these days seems waaay tougher than it was back in my day. You know when I walked to school barefoot in the snow. ;)

Thank you so much for the award Hillary! I will display it proudly!!!! ;)

Easter Weekend

We had so much fun celebrating Easter both Saturday and Sunday. I plan to split the festivities into two different posts to prevent overload. ;)
On Saturday, we had an Easter party with my mom's side of the family. It is so nice to get together with some of the cousins we don't get to see as much. It was a wonderful day filled with good food, egg hunting, pinatas, lots of laughter and hours of fun. Literally- hours. We were having such a good time that we were at my Aunt Janet's house from 12pm-8pm. Here are some pictures from the day.

My boys with the egg hunt loot

Carter giving me his "silly smile"

My cousin Kym and I being goofballs ;)

My Aunt Janet taking some of the cousins for a ride in the mule.

While the kids were busy having a blast, my sister in law Laura and I did a quick photo shoot of my 7 month old niece Livvy.

She makes the funniest faces.

 Isn't she PRECIOUS?!?!

Sunday

Sunday morning we woke up to Colton letting us know that the Easter bunny had come and left him lots of good stuff.

Colton waited patiently until Cooper woke up. Then they both waited a little bit but we ended up just waking  Carter up(the boy likes his sleep). The boys checked out their loot and loved it all!

After that, we headed outside to hunt the eggs the Easter Bunny had left them. This year Carter was all into the egg hunting. It was so fun to watch him and his big brothers run through the yard full of excitement!

Then we got ready and headed to church. It was a beautiful service with a great message and awesome music. I left there feeling inspired and excited! Jesus is ALIVE!!!

After church, we headed to Omi and Opi's house(Cody's parents). We had a great lunch, hunted eggs and spent the afternoon playing outside.

Colton, Cooper and their cousin Graham playing with Opi.

Don't worry. The tractor was not moving. =)

The Mueller cousins

We left there and headed to Mammy and Papa's(my parents). We had another great meal, hunted more eggs and the boys got more awesome Easter goodies. Yes- they are super spoiled loved!! I am mad at myself because I barely got any pictures at my parent's house. It was getting late and I was worn out from a full weekend.  The shots I got were just not good so here is a cute shot from Saturday of my mom with the boys...

I love Easter! I love the reason we celebrate it! My life is so full of love, laughter and joy! I just feel immensely BLESSED! I owe it all to the good Lord above!!

Happy Earth Day!

I have been waiting for "actual" Earth day to post this...

Colton had his 2nd grade program at school last week and it was about Earth Day. They sang a few cute songs and left us with a message about preserving, caring for and loving our Earth. He did a great job and so did the rest of the second graders. It is so funny that when you are a mom, your child singing a song about recycling can make you tear up. You know I did! ;)

This picture turned out blurry but I love that the whole time Colton was singing, he kept finding me in the audience and giving me a sweet smile!

Here is Colton with my nephew Graham. Let me just take a second to talk about these two. They are not just cousins, they are best friends. They are both in second grade and are only 10 months apart in age. They absolutely love each other! Sure makes every single family gathering super fun for these boys!!  (Colton is lucky enough that one of his other best friends is his cousin Landon who is just 11 months younger than him.) How awesome to grow up so close and bonded to your cousins!!!

Anyway, today is about celebrating Mother Nature's greatest gift so.....

Happy Earth Day!!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I love linking up with Jaime!

I am loving these two pretty spring dresses I got on sale at Kohl's.
This picture doesn't show how pretty and purple the dress  really is.

Still deciding which one to wear to church on Easter morning. I am thinking the flowered one.

I am loving my mantel with my latest Spring pictures of my boys!

I am loving that Colton doesn't have school on Friday. We can sleep in and the boys and I can spend the day hanging out together. Just wish the hubby was off to relax with us too.

I am loving that this weekend will be filled with family, fun, egg hunting, yummy food and most of all--Jesus!!

I am loving all of my followers! Almost 60-yay!! I do plan to do a giveaway soon. Still working on that. Thanks so much for following. I love knowing that I have some readers and I really, really love the sweet comments!

Have a great Wednesday!!!

A visit to the Easter Bunny

Yesterday afternoon we made the trip to the mall to see the Easter Bunny. I was so curious to see how Carter would react being in that almost two year old  stage. Well, he wasn't too sure of him. He definitely wanted to check him out but from a safe distance.  Colton and Cooper tried really hard to help me get him to sit on the bunny's lap, but he wasn't having it. He would creep up near his big brothers but stay just out of the bunny's reach. Thank goodness for the large Easter eggs they have as props because look how cute this picture turned out....

This is bliss for me!!

I decided this was as good as it gets and opted not to push for individual shots.

Mueller Movie Review--Rio ;)

Okay so we love to go see the latest movies. The moment the previews come on tv, my boys are chomping at the bit to see whatever new kids movie is headed to the theater. I love taking them for a fun experience--the big screen, popcorn, Icees and candy(all in moderation right?). The Junior Mints and a really large Mr. Pibb make my experience even better!(terrible I know but it is a delicious must) Anyway, we actually had nothing on our calendar yesterday so we were eager to go see Rio. The previews looked so funny and let me tell you it did not disappoint. (Neither did the Junior Mints and Mr. Pibb) All five of us loved it! For me, the best part was the music and cute birds getting their groove on. It was super cute!!!
The Mueller Family gives it 2 thumbs up, 4 stars, an At--you get the point. =)

In the lobby, taken with my phone. Sorry for the terrible quality.

This video I attached is of a cute song in the movie. It is long but you get the point in the first few seconds, you don't have to watch the whole 4 minutes. We loved to watch this bird break it down. ;)

Girl's Night Out

Last night was so. much.fun!! It was a long overdue night out with some of my favorite girls. We went to Indulge Nail Salon and got pedicures. We brought food and drinks and the salon stayed open late for just our group. It was so nice to get pampered and catch up with the ladies that I love so much.
My bestie and me

Getting our pedis

Two of my most FAVORITE people--Lynn and April!

Such a fun group of friends
After our pedicures, we headed to Gruene tinis. A fun, laid back martini bar in town. They had a long menu of interesting martini choices. We spent a few more hours there laughing and gabbing away.

Lynn and I with our Tobelerone Martinis--it was delicious!!

This is what we did most of the night...

We had been looking at the damn autocorrcet website and then she accidentally sent her hubby one that belongs on that site. It was hilarious!!
...giggle like school girls. Perfect!! I am so lucky to have such an amazing group of friends!!
