Fall Fun

Even though I love this time of year so much, it seems like time speeds up. The old saying so much to do, so little time really applies these days. Though our days go too fast, we have managed to squeeze in a some fall fun around here. We did make a trip to the Bracken pumkin patch.  I was so thankful for the professional mini session I had done, because Carter was waaaay too intrigued with the patch to smile for me. We did pick out pumpkins, ride the hayride and the barrel train, haul pumpkins and run around. Overall, a fun time.
He did love the pumpkins, especially the ones his size.

He would get so sad and say "noooo" when I put him in a pile of pumpkins. So he tried to blend in. =)

Sweet biggest brother.

Colton--the professional. =)

We have also made time to paint some pumpkins and made a Spooky Ginerbread house. I do love the fall!

Field Trip

Today I was able to go along on Colton's field trip. We went to the Children's Magik Theatre and saw Petite Rouge. It was a play with an adorable and funny cajun twist on the story of  Little Red Riding Hood. Colton and I both loved it! Then we ate lunch and played at Hemisfair Park. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. I am so thankful that Colton wants me there and I am able to be there for these little adventures!

38 years!

Today is my parent's wedding anniversary. They have been married for 38 years---an amazing accomplishment these days. I am so proud of them and feel so lucky that God chose to give me to them. They are wonderful parents, grandparents and two of my favorite people to be around. Happy Anniversary Mama & Daddy!

CrAzY!

Colton had red ribbon week at school this week and he was most excited about crazy hat/glasses day. He picked out this hat and was so eager to wear it. I thought it was hilarious and he couldn't wait to crack people up with it. Not sure if everyone else laughed but it still cracks me up everytime I look at this picture! So glad he is secure enough to feel comfortable being cRaZy! =)

TSU Homecoming

Cody and I spent last weekend in one of our favorite cities, Stephenville, for Tarleton State University's homecoming. We both graduated from there and actually spent our first year of marriage there but haven't been back since. It was not only Homecoming but also my soroity, Alpha Gamma Delta's 25th Anniversary. We watched the parade with a few of my fellow Alpha Gams. Then we I went to my luncheon and Cody went to his Meats Team luncheon. After that we did some shopping and restocked our t-shirt and hoodie supply. =) We had a great steak dinner that evening and then headed home on Sunday morning. We had a wonderful weekend. I got to see some of my favorite "sisters" and spend some quality time with my hubby.

Loss...

The Mueller family suffered a terrible loss on Friday. Cody's brother, Bobby and his wife, Hillary lost their baby girl. Hillary was almost 21 weeks pregnant when she started to feel bad. After a few days of doctor visits and calls, she went in again to find that her water had broken and she was 3 cm dilated. She was whisked to Labor and Delivery in hopes that something could be done to help this baby girl stay put. Unfortunately, Hillary had developed an infection in her amniotic sac that was becoming toxic. The only way to ensure that Hillary would be okay was to deliver her baby. It was way too early for the baby to live in this world but it was the only option to save Hillary. I was amazed by Hillary's strength and grace in a situation no mother ever wants to face. Although she was healthy and active in the womb that morning, Caroline Elizabeth was stillborn at 9:55 pm. She was tiny and perfect.  All of our immediate family was able to see her be baptized and pray around her. God's presence was definitely felt in that room. All we can do now is pray. Pray for Bobby and Hillary's strength and peace as they grieve. Pray for healing...for Hillary's body and both of their hearts. Pray for each day to get easier and for them to feel God with them each minute of those days. Our sweet niece may not have lived with us on this earth but she did leave us with a huge lesson. We see that life is so precious and that time can mean everything. We look at our boys and see that it is a major miracle that they are here and healthy.... That everything must fall right into place for that to happen.
Heaven received a sweet angel on Friday night and though our hearts are heavy with sadness we know she was greeted there by her grandfather, great grandparents and several others that are adoring and spoiling her just as she deserves.

Clubber of the Month

Cooper was chosen as "Clubber of the Month" in his Awana class at church. He was picked because he behaves, knows his bible verses and is a good example to others. He got a certificate and a pin as his award. He was very excited and as always, made us so PROUD!!

A Cooper Crack up

A big topic of discussion around here lately has been baptism. So, the other night Cooper was in the tub and he dunked his head forward into the water and then dipped his head back and came up and proudly proclaimed,  "I just baptized myself!"
He is so funny!! Never a dull moment when Cooper Wiley is present. Love, Love him!!!!

Pumpkin Patch Photos

We did a Pumpkin Patch photo session with Be True Photography a few weeks ago and the pictures turned out great! We did have a hard time getting a good one of the three of them because well--there's three of them. =)  Initially Carter had to warm up and just wasn't ready to smile at the silly antics being tried to get him to grin. But we got one good one of the trio and that is all I ask for. The ones of them indiviually were all good. Check out my favorites of my handsome boys!!!

My baby's sweet hands!

Happy Birthday Cody!

Today is my hubby's 34th birthday. The boys and I are so lucky to have him! He an amazing Daddy and a wonderful husband! We would all be lost without him! What is he planning for his big day? He is taking Colton and Cooper with him to the deer lease for the weekend. He loves sharing his favorite hobby/obsession with his boys! Such a good Daddy! =)

I know this is not a recent picture but it is still my favorite of Cody with his boys!! They all look so handsome!
