Meet Ranger

So my hubby, you know the avid hunter, really needed a hunting dog.;)  Mainly a dog to track animals once they are down. He wanted a Tri-color Lacey. So he did the research and found us a cutie. We headed to Stephenville on Sunday to pick him up.
We had a hard time deciding on a name. Cooper wanted the name Ranger. Colton wanted Bowie and Cody and I wanted Scout. We put the names in a bowl and drew out Ranger.
Here he is....Ranger.

Everyone loves him!

Since we went to Tarleton State in Stephenville, we always love to visit the area. We make sure and stop for new gear. =)

Another Christmas

On Saturday, we got home from the deer lease, dropped out bags and headed to Cody's parents house for Christmas with that bunch. We enjoyed a great meal, lots of outside playtime and of course more presents. =)
I only got a few pictures but at least I got Omi and Opi with their 7 grand kids.

I got this cute one of Carter and Kendall in their new hats. They loved them. =)

And Nana and her great-grand kids.

Another fun Christmas celebration we were blessed with!!

The Lease

The day after Christmas we headed to the deer lease for a couple of days. The weather was not ideal because it was cold and we got a lot of rain--which made a lot of mud. But messy or not, we did enjoy our time as a family and the time with our good friends the Reinarz's.
Love this picture!
Mud may be messy but it makes for fun pictures!

Steak dinner on the futon=)

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve was the same as it has been the last few years and I always enjoy it. We had a wonderful service at church that helps us remember exactly why we celebrate for an entire month...Jesus' birthday! Then our families came here for a tamale dinner.

Then the boys put out their reindeer food...

And set out Santa's cookies and milk....
Then one more picture before bed.

They were so excited for Santa to come but still fell asleep pretty quick. Love the anticipation and fun that fills our house this time of year!

School Christmas parties

Once again the boys had fun Christmas parties at school.
First was Cooper's. His class had been doing a unit on Christmas around the world so they had a yummy meal with foods from all over the places they "visited".

Then his fabulous teacher, Mrs. Jeske, gave them a hand painted world ornament.

Cooper loves her!
Then they had a book exchange.

And hung out with their friends. Here is Coops with 3 of his good buddies.

Then I headed to Colton's party. Since he is in 5th grade this is probably the last school Christmas party he will have. =( Sniff..Sniff.
They had some snacks and made a cute craft with their fingerprints.

Turned out cute!
Then they played a game where they had to use chopsticks to pick up marshmallows and put then in a cup. The one who put the most in their cup in a certain amount of time, won. Colton won the first round. =)

Notice his strategy.

Then they did a book exchange.

Here he is with his fabulous teacher, Mrs. Sherrerd.

It was s fun day and a great way to kick off our break!!

Carter did have a party at preschool but parents don't come to theirs so I didn't get pictures. =( He had fun though!!
