See ya!

Cooper started preschool today and he did so good! He was so excited to go to school! We walked in, he gave me a kiss and he was off playing. No lingering hugs or uneasiness just- see ya Mama! When I called to check in, they said he loved circle time and was having a great day. He even went pee-pee in the potty. When I picked him up, he was very happy to see me but he says he wants to go back. Another successful day! Thank God!
I had the day all to myself. It felt pretty weird to run errands and spend time at home without my boys. I miss them tons but I am sure I will figure out a way to fill my time. =)

Colton the Kindergartner

We made it! Colton started Kindergarten today. The morning went well. He was excited but also a little nervous. He almost cried when I went to leave but was such a big boy and held it in.By the time I left he was doing a puzzle at the table and was fine. I, on the other hand, was a wuss. Yes- I exited his classroom and cried like a baby. Uh huh, in the hallway. (He didn't see the tears.) My stomach was in knots all day. This letting go stuff is for the birds!
Thankfully, when I got there to pick him up this afternoon, I got a huge hug and the first three things he said with a smile on his face were:
1. "Mamaaaaa- finally!"
2. "I have sure been missing you!"
3. "I had a grrrreat day!!"
When I asked him what his favorite part of the day was he said "all of it!" His teacher's name is Mrs. Miller-easy to remember-and she is very sweet. He likes her a lot. What a big guy we have. I cannot believe that he is old enough to be in school. Time flies!
Ahhhhh, now I can take a deep breath and try to enjoy it! Oh wait....Cooper starts preschool tomorrow!
Anyway, check out this handsome kindergartner!

Ode to Summer

Goodbye summer, you went by too fast,
Each of our days was spent having a blast.

We got to meet Mickey and all of his friends,
We loved it and didn’t want the magic to end.

At the beach we soaked up the sand and the sun,
Catching fish and big waves is oh so much fun.

We went to NASA and learned about space,
And crawled and climbed all over the place.

Kemah was filled with neat games and rides,
The Boardwalk brings smiles no one can hide.

Sea World had Shamu and great shows,
How that whale can flip God only knows.

We spent days at Schlitterbahn and the neighborhood pool,
Splishing and splashing helped us keep cool.

We relaxed and took time to watch the sunset,
And made precious memories we will never forget.
It’s true, all good things must come to an end,So goodbye summer, we’ll miss you dear friend.

Linus in the flesh!

Our Cooper took to sucking his thumb when he was about 2 months old. He only sucks it when he has his "blankie". He will shift the blanket around, following the edges until he finds the monogram in one corner. Then he settles in...right thumb in his mouth and the left hand tapping and rubbing the monogrammed object. Luckily, he will usually work this magic with any blanket in the waffle weave material so we have about 8 that take their turn. However, lately he has a first choice. "The blue one, with the ball and the two holes in it" is his request. When he is tired, sad, has a boo-boo or is in deep thought, he can be found wandering around dragging this prized possession. It really is so darn cute and it has earned him the nickname Linus. I just want to eat him up!

My Boys

Today I figured I would tell you a bit about the two little boys that I adore. Colton is 5 and is getting ready to start kindergarten in a little over a week. I am not dealing well. The thought that someone else will get more hours in the day with him than I will makes my heart hurt. I know, I know...get over it. He is ready and I feel sure he will love it once he is there. (Right now his reaction is "I hate kindergarten!") He loves to be home with Cooper and I. But he is a smarty and needs to be challenged. Lately, he is always ready to correct someone and the scary part is that he is usually right. He constantly cracks us up with the things he comes up with. Here is an example:

Me: "Colton, please stop picking your nose."

Colton: "But Mama there are garden bugs in my nose growing boogers for me to eat."

How do I argue with that?!
Anyway, Cooper is 2 and is an adorable mess. He is so funny and certainly keeps us rolling. But his favorite sayings are " I do it myself!" and "Don't help me!"That can sometimes be a challenge. He loves his "Bubba" and is already amazing us with the things he knows. He is going to start going to the preschool that Colton went to and will go two days a week. I am not really ready for that either but I want to be available to help out at Colton's school at least one of those days. I know my little guy will thrive there just as his big brother did.
Well, hope your weekend is wonderful. Ours should be packed with fun. Today's pictures of the boys are two of my favorites.

Here we go.

Okay, I have been wanting to start a blog for a while now. I love keeping up with other people and seeing their pictures so I figured why not share what is happening with Cody and I and our boys? I will start with a picture of my two handsome little guys. Hope you enjoy checking your messages from the Muellers.
