A Short but sweet staycation

Cody had a work event to be at in the J W Marriott in San Antonio so we got to tag along. We just stayed one night but had lots of fun yesterday and this morning. It is such a beautiful place and they have a fun water park that my boys loved!! Cody and his partner John, stayed busy for work so John's wife Nita and I got to have fun with the kiddos. They have two super sweet girls, Hallie and Carlie.  We spent about 4 hours in the water yesterday...

Carter loved this kiddie pool area...

The big boys did some bigger slides(sorry, no pictures) and the lazy river was a big hit too.

After we got changed, we went out to make some good ol' S'mores. Always a fun treat!
Colton had a sore throat so he didn't eat his, but he loved  burning  roasting the marshmallows.

Serious business;)

YUMMY!

DELICIOUS!

Me and my love

All I can think when I see this picture is that I am BLESSED!!

Cooper took this picture of Colton and I

Hate this picture of me but love it of my handsome men. (Note to self, that dress is bad for pictures. )

Today we got up and had breakfast and headed back to the pool. We were able to spend about an hour there and then it started to pour. Oh well. We did get to see a Zooman in the lobby. I took some pictures with my phone because my camera was packed away.

A blue-tongued Skink

Carter was excited to touch this one

A Bearded Dragon
Carter wanted no part of this one. He wouldn't even get close. =)

After this, we headed home. We had a great time!! Now to do the laundry and repack for the coast. We are headed there tomorrow for a long weekend. SO ready to hit the beach with my boys!!

One last picture and side note, look how red my baby's hair looks! I couldn't believe it when I was looking back through my pictures. I love it!!

Wonderful Wedding

Well, after months of fun activities leading up to the big day, Brad and Lexi got married on Friday. It was a beautiful wedding! They happy couple are gitty in love and Lexi was a gorgeous bride. My hubby was an usher and just so  happened to be the most handsome man there!=) There was a delicious meal, yummy cake and lots of dancing! My boys were great through the ceremony and did good at the reception too. It helped that they had a kid's room with two sitters, a movie playing, crafts and balloons for the kids to play with. Brilliant idea! My boys kind of came and went from that play room and then my in laws took them home a little early so we could stay late.(Thanks Omi and Opi! )We had an amazing time!!!

Lexi's dress was stunning!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Brad Wuest!! We couldn't be happier for you!!

Happy 4th of July

Our 4th of July was pretty busy but fun. The boys did get to sleep in and then Colton and Cooper went with Cody to the Missions game cause he had to be there for work. They had a fun but hot time helping and hanging out with him. Then we all went to a couple's shower for  Brad and Lexi(their wedding is Friday). Our boys ran around and had lots of fun while we visited our friends.
After we left the shower, we got pints of ice cream and drinks and parked in a place where we could watch the fireworks from the back of the truck. (The actual park where they set the fireworks off, gets way too crowded.) It was relaxing and a great show! We all loved it!
Eating ice cream and waiting for the fireworks to start

Cooper loved waving this flag around.

Carter used his glow stick to do lots of singing--so cute!!

Hope you all had a fun filled day!!

Carter's swim lessons

Carter took some private swim lessons in last two week. The first one he was leery and nervous but did what his teacher asked him to do. The second one he cried most of the time and we ended the lesson with him getting choked and throwing up...poor guy! One the third one, we got there really early and he had time to warm up and just play in the baby pool first. Then, he did great! He was really kicking, blowing bubbles and getting his face under water without getting scared. He was having fun too! Hopefully, we can build on what he has learned the rest of the summer. Sure love my littlest swimmer!!
Ms. Jessica is fabulous!!!!

Love these little footprints!!
