Fun Fall Snack

Pecan Praline Crunch

Here is what you need:
1 box Quaker Oat Squares
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup(Karo)
3 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp Vanilla
10 oz. Pecan halves or pieces

Here is what you do:
*Heat oven to 250 degrees
*Spray 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
*Put cereal and pecans in a bowl and mix.
*In Pyrex measuring cup(4 cup size) mix brown sugar, syrup, and oil.
*Microwave for 1 and 1/2 mins.
*Add Vanilla and baking soda
*Microwave until bubbly(approx. 15-30 secs)
*Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat
*Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes
*Spread out on cookie sheets to cool.

Suggestions: Use 1 box of cereal, minus about 2 cups to make the coating thicker. Also good with cashews.

Delicious!!
I plan to get simple containers, tie a fall ribbon on them and give them to the boys' teachers for a treat.
